Mediation: A consensual and voluntary process in which discussion between the parties is facilitated by the mediator, providing the parties with a way to systematically identify their issues, develop options, consider alternatives; and assisting them to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution.
Facilitated discussions: A less formal service that provides a forum for the discussion and resolution of sensitive issues.
